Support Small Business ! Order thanksgiving dinner to go in Chicago, IL during covid-19 second wave !

Thanksgiving Day dinner plans look a little different for many of us this year maid the coronavirus pandemic.

You might be limiting your usual big family gathering to a smaller meal with immediate family (and struggling to scale down your stuffing recipe that makes 20 servings), or your high-risk loved ones could be sitting this one out — which means their signature dishes will be absent from your dinner table, too.

Luckily, many Chicago-area restaurants are offering holiday meals that can picked up or delivered for the holiday, so you can enjoy your favorite dishes even if your family gathering this year is being hosted by Zoom instead of Grandma.

Here’s a look at some of the offerings:

Himmel’s Chicago (2251 W. Lawrence Ave.): Turkey breast and leg meat; mashed potatoes and gravy, red cabbage, stuffing, green bean casserole, pretzel bread and obatzda, bread pudding; $27.50 per person. Reserve by Nov. 22.

Halsted St.): Chef Grant Achatz’s Thanksgiving to-go menu includes an eight- to 14-pound turkey packaged with cooking instructions and compound butter, herbs and spices, sides including green bean casserole and stuffing with roasted garlic and sage, along with a pumpkin pie. $325 to $895 depending on party size.
